Overview
We are looking for a precision-focused Pipe Welder to join our team, focusing on the fabrication, repair, and installation of high-performance exhaust systems, mufflers, and custom headers. If you have a steady hand for thin-gauge materials and an eye for clean, leak-proof welds, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality TIG and/or MIG welding on stainless steel, aluminized steel, and occasionally titanium.
- Measure, cut, and fit pipes for custom exhaust layouts and high-performance headers.
- Install mufflers, resonators, and catalytic converters with a focus on proper clearance and structural integrity.
- Work from sketches or verbal instructions to create custom-bent exhaust solutions.
- Ensure all welds are airtight and meet aesthetic standards.
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience in pipe welding, specifically within the automotive or exhaust industry (preferred).
- Proven ability to weld thin-gauge tubing without warping or burn-through.
- Proficiency with pipe benders, notchers, and band saws.
- Deep understanding of back-purging techniques and header geometry.
- (Optional/Preferred) AWS certification or vocational welding degree.
