Overview

We are looking for a Maintenance Journeyman Millwright or Machine Repairman to perform mechanical maintenance work in different plants for our company. The main job is to keep machines running well to meet production goals while performing regular maintenance and fixing problems to reduce downtime.

Responsibilities

• Check, maintain, fix, replace, or build equipment and tools to keep production going.
• Document work orders to show completed steps.
• Troubleshoot and repair various types of equipment to minimize downtime.
• Perform complex repairs and installations on machines.
• Be skilled in laser alignment and perform dual reverse alignments.
• Install, maintain, and fix piping, pumps, valves, fans, dryers, conveyors, and other machinery.
• Practice proper rigging techniques and weld pipes, structures, and equipment as needed.
• Perform scheduled maintenance as planned and during outages.
• Follow safety rules and procedures to help prevent accidents.
• Be aware of safety hazards in the work area and manage them.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Completed an apprenticeship program, technical trade school, or equivalent certification.
• 3 to 5 years of related experience or a combination of education and experience.
• General understanding of maintenance techniques.
• Experience with rotating equipment and solving related problems.
• Valid CA Driver’s License.
• MIG and TIG welding certification preferred.
• 6G welding certification strongly preferred.
• Preferred licenses may include class A, B, or C.
• Experience in heavy industry.
• Skilled in measuring and installing bearings with high precision.
• Hands-on experience with crushers and conveyor systems, including repair and maintenance.
• Capable of diagnosing mechanical problems and making custom parts in an industrial/mining setting.
• Must follow safety standards to maintain clean, organized work areas.
