Overview

The Lead Welder/Fabricator is responsible for reading blueprints, selecting and preparing materials, and performing welding and assembly tasks to create high-quality products. This role requires attention to detail and physical stamina, and it offers a contract position with competitive pay.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints to understand design and requirements.
• Select and prepare appropriate materials based on project requirements.
• Cut and shape materials using various tools and machines.
• Perform welding tasks using techniques like MIG, TIG, and Stick welding.
• Assemble finished products ensuring proper fit and safety standards.
• Inspect and test finished products for quality and specifications.
• Maintain tools and equipment for operational efficiency and safety.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of fabrication methods, materials science, and welding techniques.
• Excellent attention to detail for precision and adherence to specifications.
• Physical strength and stamina to lift heavy materials and work in various positions.
• Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent; technical training in materials science, engineering, or metallurgy is advantageous.
