Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Welder/Fabricator to join our manufacturing and construction team. This role involves fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components for commercial and structural projects. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, detail-oriented, and experienced working both in the shop and on construction sites.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and weld symbols
- Perform SMAW (Stick), FCAW (Flux-Cored), MIG, and TIG welding
- Use oxy-acetylene torch for cutting and fabrication
- Fabricate and assemble structural steel, pipe, and custom metal components
- Operate hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, and press brake equipment
- Measure and verify materials using calipers, micrometers, and precision tools
- Perform rigging and lifting operations safely using forklifts or cranes
- Follow ASME codes, safety regulations, and jobsite protocols
Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years welding/fabrication experience
- Proficient in SMAW and FCAW (required)
- Experience with structural steel and construction site work
- Ability to pass a weld test
- Familiarity with rigging, lifting, and heavy material handling
- Reliable transportation and punctuality
- OSHA 10 preferred
- LA City Certification preferred
