Overview

The Aerospace Structural Welder position is pending contract award and is located at FRCASE NAS North Island/Naval Base Coronado, CA. The role involves using various welding techniques to join metal components in the field of DOD military aviation maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Use hand-welding, flame-cutting, hand-soldering, or brazing equipment to weld or join metal components.
• Fill holes, indentations, or seams of fabricated metal products.

Requirements

• Minimum of five (5) years' experience in DOD military aviation maintenance in the last ten (10) years.
• At least three (3) years' experience of aeronautical welding in an aviation maintenance environment.
• Demonstrated knowledge and working level skills in aviation and aerospace welding.
• Knowledge of structures sheet metal and fabrication.
• Must follow Military Specifications 1595 for Steel, Stainless Steel, and Aluminum.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of a school equivalent to Navy A and/or C school or Certificate of Welding.
