Overview

We are seeking a skilled Ironworker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metal fabrication and construction, with the ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and install structural steel components, including beams, columns, and girders.
• Determine quantities, sizes, shapes and locations of reinforcing bars from blueprints, sketches, or verbal instructions.
• Utilize various welding techniques such as FCAW and Stick welding to join metal parts.
• Operate cranes and other heavy machinery to lift and position materials safely.
• Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and codes standards to ensure accurate assembly.
• Perform pipe threading and plasma cutting as required for specific projects.
• Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure quality and adherence to specifications.
• Maintain a safe working environment by following all safety protocols and regulations.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Ironworker or in a similar role within the construction industry.
• Proficiency with tools such as micrometers for precise measurements.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Familiarity with sheet metal work is a plus.
• Experience in reading blueprints and understanding engineering specifications is essential.
• Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions while adhering to safety practices.
• Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools.
