Overview

The Welder and Fabricator position requires candidates to have structural welding experience, the ability to read blueprints, and fitting and assembly skills. Applicants must be willing to learn various operations and be physically capable of performing general steel fabrication work.

Responsibilities

• Inspect own work and learn acceptable standards before the 90-day review.
• Install and set up fixtures and tooling.
• Operate vertical and horizontal saws.
• Perform ironworker operations.
• Use a drill press.
• Maintain housekeeping and organization in the shop.
• Complete assigned cleanup time at the end of each day.

Requirements

• Structural welding experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and pass a blueprint assessment.
• Fitting and assembly experience.
• Ability to convert fractions to decimals and vice versa.
• Ability to use measuring tools such as standard/metric tape measure and micrometer.
• Must have personal protective welding helmet and welding gloves.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must have a pair of steel toe shoes.
• Must be physically capable to perform general steel fabrication work requirements.
• Must comply with all conditions and physical requirements with little or no restrictions.
• Must be willing to become Fork Lift and Crane Certified.
• Must be willing to learn various operations.
