Responsibilities
- Performs expert level break-fix & preventative maintenance.
- Identifies and sources parts, supplies and repair items as necessary.
- Independently performs maintenance as per industry standards.
- Works with customer counterparts to optimize maintenance and reliability procedures.
- May setup and operate multiple machining operations including lathe, drill press, and grinder.
- Documents work performed in service reports and management systems.
- Provides assistance to lower level technicians and leadership to project teams.
- Troubleshoots and analyzes complex control systems.
- Utilizes advanced maintenance technologies to collect equipment performance data.
- Completes and conducts on-the-job training and technical self-study programs.
- Follows all safety related policies, rules, regulations, and guidelines.
Requirements
- High School Graduate or equivalent (GED).
- Associates degree with a Technical focus and 10 years of related experience, or 12 years of experience in specific industry.
- Comprehensive understanding of electrical, mechanical, fluid power and control systems.
- Must be able to use basic hand tools and specialized tools.
- Extensive travel required (Local, National, International).
- Experience in condition based maintenance techniques and precision mechanical alignments is desirable.
- Experience in programmable logic controllers and maintenance of electrical drive and motor systems is desirable.
Additional Information
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.
- Work is typically performed in a factory environment which is usually very loud.
- Employee may be exposed to hazardous materials and/or greasy or slippery factory floors.
