Job Description

Overview

Adecco has partnered with an industrial entertainment solutions manufacturer to build a pipeline of skilled welders for PRN, project-based assignments. This opportunity is ideal for experienced welders seeking flexible, as-needed work rather than a steady long-term role, with potential to transition into longer-term employment as project volume and performance allow.

Responsibilities

  • Perform various types of welding, brazing, and cutting on a wide range of metals using appropriate welding equipment.
  • Read and follow instructions, prints, and work orders specific to each project.
  • Perform gas welding in all positions (down-hand, vertical, overhand, etc.).
  • Execute welds of various types and sizes, including V-groove, lap, butt, and others; preheat materials when required.
  • Clean, grind, and flame-anneal parts and welded joints as needed.
  • Use burning and cutting equipment to dismantle assemblies and cut materials to required size and shape.
  • Safely handle and transport materials and equipment to and from work areas.
  • Apply working knowledge of welding properties of different metals, welding rods and welding heats, stress relief techniques, fit-up and machining allowances, and effects of shrinkage, warpage, and expansion.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, project leads, and team members.
  • Demonstrate self-motivation, teamwork, and a results-driven mindset in a project-based environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Proven, hands-on experience with GMAW (MIG), GTAW (TIG), and FCAW.
  • Comfortable working in a demanding, multi-tasking, project-driven environment.
  • Strong fine and gross motor skills to safely perform welding tasks.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, reach, kneel, twist, pull, push, grip, and climb as required for the job.
