Job Description

Overview

This is a construction project for a Project Pipefitter position with Worley, located in Prudhoe Bay, AK, expected to last eight to ten months starting mid to late May 2026. The role involves extensive work in a remote Arctic environment, providing competitive benefits and support for employees on location.

Responsibilities

  • Select type and size of pipe and related materials according to drawings and job specifications.
  • Inspect worksites to determine presence of obstructions and plan sequence of installation.
  • Cut and bevel pipe using cutting torches, saws, threading machines, and pipe cutting machines.
  • Assemble and install a variety of valves and fittings.
  • Prepare and fit pipe for welding or join pipe and fittings by means of threading.
  • Secure pipe to structures with clamps, brackets, or hangers.
  • Use, interpret, and care for tools and equipment commonly employed on industrial projects.
  • Fabricate, install, position, or connect components for testing purposes, including hydrotesting.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of ANSI, ASME, and PFI codes and standards.
  • Advanced working knowledge of various piping system components such as valves and fittings.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and determine dimensional information for drawings and specifications.
  • Advanced ability to measure accurately, layout work, cut, bevel, thread, and fit pipe.
  • Basic knowledge of Pipefitters Bluebook.
  • Ability to determine mitered fittings and rolling offsets.
  • Ability to work with fabrication facility equipment.
  • Three to five years' experience in pipefitting in an industrial environment required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent GED.
  • Valid driver's license required and ability to be insured by Worley auto insurer.

Additional Information

  • Work is performed in a remote Arctic environment with limited medical resources.
  • Typical schedule is 84 hours per week (40 hours straight time and a minimum of 44 hours at time and a half).
  • All meals and lodging are provided by Worley while the employee is on location.
  • Transportation between Anchorage and Prudhoe Bay is provided.
