Overview

The TIG Welder position in Houston, TX involves reading and interpreting engineering drawings, performing welding tasks, and operating various machines and tools. The role requires a high school diploma, welding experience, and good communication skills, with a preference for bilingual candidates.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering drawings related to welding.
• Complete routine reports.
• Calculate figures and amounts such as area, circumference, and volume.
• Apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
• Communicate effectively.
• Work independently with initiative.
• Set up and operate hydraulic and electric drive bending machines.
• Operate a variety of manual machines and use hand tools.
• Use measuring tools like tape meters, calipers, and squares.
• Set up and weld parts using welding equipment.
• Operate plant equipment including forklifts and cranes.
• Read specifications from cut sheets to determine material type and size.
• Work with various materials including raw pipe, bar stock, and sheet metal.
• Potentially relocate for training at the Italian Headquarter facility.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school graduate; welding school or technical courses preferred.
• 2+ years of work experience preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in TIG welding.
• Valid proof of eligibility to work in the USA.
• Bilingual English/Spanish speaking is a plus.

• Pay Rate: $20/hr.
• Schedule: 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday to Friday.
