Overview
The TIG Welder position in Houston, TX involves reading and interpreting engineering drawings, performing welding tasks, and operating various machines and tools. The role requires a high school diploma, welding experience, and good communication skills, with a preference for bilingual candidates.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret engineering drawings related to welding.
- Complete routine reports.
- Calculate figures and amounts such as area, circumference, and volume.
- Apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Communicate effectively.
- Work independently with initiative.
- Set up and operate hydraulic and electric drive bending machines.
- Operate a variety of manual machines and use hand tools.
- Use measuring tools like tape meters, calipers, and squares.
- Set up and weld parts using welding equipment.
- Operate plant equipment including forklifts and cranes.
- Read specifications from cut sheets to determine material type and size.
- Work with various materials including raw pipe, bar stock, and sheet metal.
- Potentially relocate for training at the Italian Headquarter facility.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school graduate; welding school or technical courses preferred.
- 2+ years of work experience preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in TIG welding.
- Valid proof of eligibility to work in the USA.
- Bilingual English/Spanish speaking is a plus.
