Overview

Talent Corps is currently seeking Pipefitters for a local client. The role involves the layout, assembly, installation, and repair of plumbing systems according to specifications and building codes.

Responsibilities

• Analyze specifications, building plans, and shop drawings to plan installation sequences.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety regulations.
• Set up equipment and welding parts using various welding machines.
• Inspect structures for obstructions to prevent weakening during pipe installation.
• Lay out and mark positions for pipes and passage holes using tools.
• Cut openings in walls and floors for pipes and fittings using hand and power tools.
• Install sleeves and openings for roof and wall penetrations.
• Assist in excavating, backfilling, and tamping ditches.
• Cut, ream, solder, braze, fuse, and thread pipe and fittings using various tools.
• Assemble and install valves, hangers, pipes, and fittings from various materials.
• Bend pipes by hand or with a pipe-bending machine.
• Test pipe systems for leaks using water or air.
• Install, maintain, and repair air-conditioning and refrigeration systems.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 3+ years as a Pipefitter Journeyman preferred.
• Trained and qualified to operate machinery such as scissor lifts and aerial lifts.
