Overview
We are seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician to join our team in Dallas–Fort Worth, TX. This role is ideal for a skilled professional with expertise in commercial and industrial HVAC systems, who can independently troubleshoot, repair, and optimize large rooftop units, air-cooled chillers, and advanced control systems.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues in commercial HVAC systems.
- Troubleshoot compressors, gas heat exchangers, TXVs, economizers, and VFDs.
- Use diagnostic tools such as multimeters, manometers, and refrigerant analyzers.
- Optimize systems for efficiency, including superheat, subcooling, and refrigerant charge.
- Independently perform service calls, repairs, and preventative maintenance.
- Conduct leak detection, refrigerant recovery, and recharging per EPA 608 standards.
- Ensure HVAC systems operate safely and efficiently.
- Communicate technical issues and solutions clearly to customers.
- Document service work, repairs, and recommendations for future maintenance.
- Recommend system upgrades or service agreements when appropriate.
- Follow all safety protocols including lockout/tagout procedures.
- Maintain compliance with OSHA, EPA, and ASHRAE standards.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in commercial or industrial HVAC service.
- EPA 608 Certification required.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with experience using diagnostic tools.
- Familiarity with large rooftop units, air-cooled chillers, VFDs, and cooling towers.
- Professional, reliable, and safety-focused.
Additional Information
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8- or 12-hour shifts, weekends as needed.
- Location: Dallas–Fort Worth, TX, in-person work, must be able to commute or relocate prior to start.
