Overview

The RSI Group (SmartCap) is a leading manufacturer of pickup truck caps and accessories, operating in over 30 countries. They are seeking a Press Brake Operator to join their production team, responsible for operating bend/brake machines and ensuring high-quality parts production while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Operate, program, and maintain robotic or manual bend/brake machines.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and manufacturing routings.
• Plan sequences of operation to achieve optimal precision and tolerances.
• Verify product quality through inspections, measurements, and reports.
• Prepare raw materials for production, ensuring material quality prior to production sequence.
• Perform machine set-ups, calibration, and adjustments as needed.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
• Follow and enforce federal, state, and local safety regulations.
• Support process improvements and product quality initiatives.
• Perform additional work-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical drawings.
• Experience in manufacturing or metalworking environment preferred.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and production reporting preferred.
• Proficient in measuring tools such as calipers and protractors preferred.

Additional Information

• Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 10-Hour shift.
• Occasional overtime may be required.
• Frequent work in a non-climate-controlled environment with seasonal temperature changes.
• Considerable exposure to noise levels from manufacturing equipment.
