Overview

Prysmian is a global leader in energy and digital connection solutions, focusing on innovative cable systems for power transmission and distribution. The Welder/Fabricator role involves working with various welding techniques to create and modify components in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Positioning, aligning, fitting, and welding parts for the formation of sub units or complete units using jigs, hand tools, and welding torches.
• Identifying information by recognizing similarities or differences, categorizing, estimating, and detecting modifications in events or circumstances.
• Fluent in reading measuring devices and calculating basic arithmetic.
• Locating and marking work piece cutting and bending lines for welding and machine shrinkage.
• Providing detailed instructions, specifications, drawings or documentation for construction, modification, maintenance, assembly, or fabrication.
• Studying blueprints and engineering drawings to determine project task sequences and requirements.
• Performing all work in accordance with company safety procedures and OSHA requirements.
• Performing other related duties as required and assigned.
• Experience in stick welding, oxygen/acetylene torch use along with mig/tig experience.

Requirements

• High School diploma or G.E.D certificate.
• Ability to read and write the English language.
• Prefer industrial or manufacturing experience working with machine and industrial components.
• Knowledge of the properties and characteristics of metals used for cutting, welding and forming objects.
• Ability to climb in overhead structures and work beneath machines.
• Exposed to high voltage electricity and excessive heat.
• Ability to push, pull, or lift heavy objects and/or machine parts with or without assistance.

• Schedule: 7am - 5pm Monday - Friday
• Hourly Starting Pay: $25/hr
