At D/E/F Services Group, Ltd, we are dedicated to building quality construction services since 1999, focusing on Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, Low Voltage, and Carpentry. We seek a highly skilled Sheet Metal Journeyperson who is passionate about producing quality work efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Perform general labor related to sheet metal work.
• Utilize and interpret blueprints to fabricate, assemble, and install sheet metal products.
• Accurately measure and mark dimensions and lay out material for installation.
• Effectively use manual and power tools commonly used in the sheet metal industry.
• Trim, buff, smooth, file, and grind metal surfaces and joints for safety and appearance.
• Fasten joints and seams in sheet metal with solder, welds, caulk, bolts, and metal driver clips.
• Install assemblies, including pipes, HVAC ducts, flashings, rain gutters, and furnace casings.
• Continuously improve skillset to maximize efficiency in fabrication and installation.
• Select appropriate type and gauge of sheet metal according to specifications.
• Ensure safety during all activities, including tool use and metal installation.
• Maintain job-site efficiency by following policies and procedures.
• Keep information confidential to protect operations.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks.

Requirements

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints.
• Ability to stand, lift, and maneuver weights exceeding 50lbs.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Active State of Connecticut SM1, SM2, or SM3 License.
• 3-5 years of experience in the Commercial Construction Industry.
• Current OSHA 10 Certification is preferred.
• Active Driver’s License with reliable transportation.
