Overview

Burt Process Equipment is seeking a Plastic Fabricator for a full-time permanent position. Candidates with experience in plastic fabrication, plastic welding, or stainless steel fabrication are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Decipher blueprints or related documents for tank/water treatment and fluid handling equipment assembly layout.
• Verify dimensions using measuring instruments for layouts.
• Determine the types of power tools for cutting and shaping plastic sheet/pipe according to drawings.
• Fuse/weld plastic sheets and pipe using multiple techniques.
• Independently assemble tank and associated equipment/components utilizing blueprints.
• Safely and effectively utilize hand welding tools, welding machines, power tools, hand tools, and forklifts/scissor lifts.

Requirements

• High School Diploma (required).
• 2 years of experience in related field.
• Welding certificate for plastics and steel (preferred).
• Knowledge of welding, plastics, steel, and custom fabrication.
• Knowledge in mechanical, carpentry, plumbing, mechanical drawings, and welding.
• General knowledge of equipment safety and operation.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Experience with carpentry tools.
• Skilled in measuring in 16ths, 8ths, and 32nds.
• Ability to perform math problems using fractions and decimals.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs unaided.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to bend and reach.
• Must be able to travel at least 5% of the time.
