Overview
Soiland Company, a family-owned business in Sonoma County since 1962, is seeking a skilled Welder and Fabricator with heavy equipment operating experience to join their team at Stony Point Rock Quarry in Cotati, California. The ideal candidate will be dependable, safety-conscious, and thrive in a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Support daily quarry operations through hands-on welding and fabrication.
- Utilize stick and MIG welding, plasma cutting, and oxygen-acetylene torching to repair and maintain plant equipment and structures.
- Operate heavy equipment to support material handling, site maintenance, and plant cleanup.
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and perform preventive maintenance.
- Assist with plant and yard maintenance to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and productive work environment.
Requirements
- At least 3+ years of recent hands-on welding and fabrication experience.
- Experience with stick and MIG welding, plasma cutting, and oxygen-acetylene torching.
- At least 1+ year of recent experience operating heavy equipment in a production environment.
- Proven track record of safe and competent operation of required equipment.
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship available).
- Must pass pre-employment physical and drug screening.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Ability to safely perform physical labor.
- Comfortable working at heights with appropriate fall protection.
- Strong spatial awareness when working near other people or structures.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to safety.
- Able to work independently and in a team-based, outdoor environment.

Additional Information
- Location: 7171 Stony Point Road, Cotati, CA
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, starting at 6:00 AM
- Shift: 8 hours per day, with some overtime.
- Pay range: $27 - $32/hour.
