Overview

The Welder position involves reading and interpreting project plans and blueprints, performing various types of welding, and coordinating with field labor crews to ensure efficient installations. The role requires experience in welding and knowledge of construction site safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret project plans, blueprints, and other written instructions and diagrams.
• Perform MIG and other types of welding based on project needs.
• Select proper fillers for jobs based on previous experience or project instructions.
• Coordinate with field labor crew for efficient installations.
• Conserve resources whenever possible to ensure budgetary integrity and client satisfaction.
• De-bur and grind metal as necessary to achieve proper surface texture.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED preferred.
• 3+ years’ experience operating as a commercial welder - REQUIRED.
• Current and valid certification a plus.
• Experience working on construction sites with power tools.
• Knowledge of construction site best practices and safety procedures.
• Must speak English and Spanish.
