Overview
GrayWolf is seeking Combo Pipe Welders in Perdue, AL. As a heavy industrial/commercial construction contractor with over 45 years of experience, GrayWolf provides end-to-end solutions and emphasizes a culture of Safety, Quality, and Performance.
Responsibilities
- Lay out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembly.
- Weld together metal components of products such as piping systems, plates, pipes, and tube or structural shapes.
- Plan installation or repair to avoid obstructions and interference with other workers.
- Secure pipes to structure using brackets, clamps, and hangers.
- Weld in any direction – flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead positions.
Requirements
- 3-5 years proven experience.
- OSHA 10 preferred.
- AWS certified preferred.
- High School Diploma / GED.
- Must have locking tool box and tools necessary to perform the job.
- Must be able to lift and carry heavy items weighing up to 45 pounds.
- Must be able to move in and around confined and cluttered places, and uneven areas.
- Must have full range of motion and flexibility consistent with age.
- Must be able to work up to a 12-hour shift in varying temperature extremes and other outside conditions.
- Must be able to climb and maintain balance on steel framework, stairs, ladders, and scaffolds.
- PPE footwear/prescription safety glasses or eye shields required.
