Overview

We are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Mechanic to join our Mechanical contracting team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing and repairing ductwork/sheet metal in various industrial applications, requiring a strong understanding of mechanical systems and excellent problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, assemble, and repair sheet metal components according to technical drawings and specifications.
• Use hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, and fit sheet metal parts accurately.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot complex mechanical problems and implement effective solutions.
• Follow safety protocols and industry standards at all times during operations.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Sheet Metal Mechanic or similar role within an industrial or manufacturing setting.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
• Familiarity with electrical testing tools such as ohmmeters is highly desirable.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and precision.
• Prior experience with maintenance or installation of sheet metal systems is preferred but not required.
