Overview

American International Contractors (Special Projects), Inc. (AICI-SP) is a leading construction firm in the Department of State, Overseas Building Operations (OBO) program, seeking individuals with an active secret security clearance for a Welder position in Doha, Qatar.

Responsibilities

• Cut and fabricate structural steel while reading and understanding blueprints.
• Keep work area and material staging areas clean and orderly.

Requirements

• Ability to generate as-built drawings for changed field conditions.
• Assist with other assigned duties as required within skill set, even if outside of trade.
• Structural Welder with Structural Welding Certification dated within the last 2 years.
• 2+ years of construction industry experience on overseas projects.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints.
• Ability to read and interpret job specifications.
• Basic understanding of construction principles and procedures.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Thorough knowledge of the safe and effective use of hand tools and power tools.
• Flexibility in working overseas.
• Understanding and adherence to local laws and customs in host country.
• Following all Government site security requirements.
• Ability to take direction and work well with others.
