Overview

Powercon Corp is a switchgear manufacturing company currently looking for well-organized individuals to join our team as a Welding Supervisor/Team Lead for the 2nd shift.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and supervise staff.
• Experience with welding components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding process specifications.
• Operate welding equipment safely and efficiently.
• Inspect welds for accuracy and quality assurance.
• Assemble and fabricate metal structures using various welding techniques.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment such as press brake machines and plasma cutters.
• Perform pipe threading and fitting tasks.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a welding supervisor or manager.
• Proficient in various welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, and stick welding.
• Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of codes and standards related to welding.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Familiarity with operating press brake machines, plasma cutters, and forklifts.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work in physically demanding environments.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Additional Information

• 8 hour shift
• Relocate to Severn, MD 21144 before starting work.
