Overview

Southworth International Group, Inc., located in Manila, AR, is the world’s largest manufacturer of ergonomic material handling equipment for vertical lifting and work positioning. The company is seeking a Welding Team Leader to guide and assist department employees while ensuring quality and safety in the manufacturing process.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand blueprints and specifications to communicate instructions.
• Provide guidance, direction, and technical assistance to department employees.
• Layout, position, fit, and weld components to assemble machinery according to blueprints and verbal instructions.
• Proficiently use various welding tools and equipment while achieving quality standards.
• Develop and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Ensure customer satisfaction through schedule attainment and quality products.
• Maintain proper housekeeping and care of equipment.
• Present departmental statistics using computer programs like Excel, Power Point, and Microsoft Word.
• Perform other duties and complete assignments as requested.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of welding techniques and ability to read blueprints.
• Professional communication skills both verbally and electronically.
• Previous supervisory experience.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Demonstrate good judgment, dependability, and satisfactory work quality.
• Experience building an effective team through trust and communication.
• Ability to bend, twist, reach, grasp, stand for extended periods, and lift up to 50 pounds.
