Responsibilities

• Set-up and operate weld equipment to weld all types of materials and products for Lean implementation.
• Fabricate equipment to meet lean implementation developed from concepts, sketches, and blueprints.
• Apply lean methodologies such as Muda Hunt, 5S, 5 Whys, etc.
• Perform project management relating to time, material resources, and team environments.
• Identify and apply Lean methodologies to ensure processes are scientifically controlled and continuously improved.
• Operate the Mill, Lathe, and Horizontal saw.
• Familiarity with electrical, hydraulics, and pneumatics.

Requirements

• Knowledge of adjustments to welding equipment for specific applications.
• Understanding of safety procedures and adjustments to metal cutting and grinding equipment.
• Fabrication skills relating to metal working and equipment assembly.
• Basic understanding of welded material structural properties.
• Ability to hold specific tolerances.
• Can read and interpret sketches and blueprints.
• Basic knowledge of lean principles.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work well with all employees.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Welding training required; must pass entry-level production welding test approved by the Quality Manager.
