Overview

At PCL, we build the places where life happens and find camaraderie in the process. As an Ironworker Journeyman for our PICCo Bisen Project in Ray, North Dakota, you will contribute to our team by ensuring safe and effective construction practices while collaborating with other trades.

Responsibilities

• Safe use of hand and power tools.
• Read and interpret blueprints, structural drawings, and specifications.
• Align, bolt, weld, and rivet steel components.
• Hoist steel beams, columns, and other materials into place.
• Fabricate and install steel structures, catwalks, support systems, pipe racks, and bracing.
• Perform layout and fit-up for structural assemblies with precision.
• Cut and weld metal components using various techniques.
• Inspect and verify structural alignment, bolt torque, and weld quality.
• Use a variety of hand tools and power tools.
• Work at heights using fall protection systems.
• Collaborate with crane operators, riggers, welders, and other trades.
• Determine the number, sizes, shapes, and locations of reinforcing rods.
• Plan sequence of installation to avoid obstructions.
• Cut reinforcing iron and rebar to required lengths.
• Prioritize tasks according to job schedule.
• Ensure proper permits have been obtained.

Requirements

• Minimum of 48+ verifiable work experience as an Ironworker.
• Pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
