Job Description

Overview

The Container Repair Mechanic is responsible for performing repairs, maintenance, and installations of compactors and other stationary equipment, focusing on painting and re-painting solid waste containers. This role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and teamwork, and includes a $1,500 hiring bonus.

Responsibilities

  • Paint and re-paint solid waste containers to ensure cleanliness and compliance with standards.
  • Perform inspections, diagnostic tests, preventative maintenance, and repairs on compactors and stationary equipment.
  • Read and diagnose electrical schematics and repair electrical problems, including high-voltage electricity.
  • Read and diagnose hydraulic schematics and repair hydraulic issues.
  • Assist with the installation of compactors and other equipment as scheduled.
  • Complete paperwork and enter data related to equipment repairs accurately and timely.
  • Participate in training and learning opportunities to enhance knowledge of company products and services.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Legally eligible to work in the US.
  • Ability to work as part of a team in a collaborative environment.
  • Preferred experience in equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Excellent listening, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Dedication to safety.
  • Welding and fabrication skills are desired.
