Overview
The Container Repair Mechanic is responsible for performing repairs, maintenance, and installations of compactors and other stationary equipment, focusing on painting and re-painting solid waste containers. This role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and teamwork, and includes a $1,500 hiring bonus.
Responsibilities
- Paint and re-paint solid waste containers to ensure cleanliness and compliance with standards.
- Perform inspections, diagnostic tests, preventative maintenance, and repairs on compactors and stationary equipment.
- Read and diagnose electrical schematics and repair electrical problems, including high-voltage electricity.
- Read and diagnose hydraulic schematics and repair hydraulic issues.
- Assist with the installation of compactors and other equipment as scheduled.
- Complete paperwork and enter data related to equipment repairs accurately and timely.
- Participate in training and learning opportunities to enhance knowledge of company products and services.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Legally eligible to work in the US.
- Ability to work as part of a team in a collaborative environment.
- Preferred experience in equipment maintenance and repair.
- Excellent listening, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Dedication to safety.
- Welding and fabrication skills are desired.
