Overview

Millwrights Local Union #1176 is seeking journeyman and apprentice millwrights for various employment opportunities in the Food & Beverage, Agriculture, Manufacturing, Power Generation, and AI Data Center industries across North Dakota, South Dakota, and Minnesota.

Responsibilities

• Perform job tasks safely, adhering to OSHA regulations and company safety procedures.
• Use hand and power tools to install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot industrial machinery.
• Read and understand mechanical drawings, diagrams, and schematics.
• Use machinery or equipment to move machines by rigging into place.
• Fit bearings, align gears and shafts, and install and maintain pumps and process piping.
• Align and test equipment with precision tooling and make necessary adjustments.
• Repair and/or replace defective parts and service hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Weld, braze, solder, and cut a variety of materials using GMAW, GTAW, and SMAW processes.

Requirements

• Journeyman candidates should have 10 years of documented experience.
• Apprentice candidates need a high school diploma, GED, or 1500 hours of industry-specific experience.
• Candidates with an associate’s degree in industrial maintenance are encouraged to apply.
• Excellent mathematical skills and strong attention to detail are required.
• Ability to work as a team player and interact with customers.
• Proficient knowledge of power and hand tools operation is necessary.
• Excellent manual dexterity is required for handling parts in confined areas.
• Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Maintain a professional appearance and communicate effectively with others.

Additional Information

• Day, Night, and Overnight shifts are preferred.
• Ability to commute to Fargo, ND 58102 is required.
• Relocation to Fargo, ND 58102 is required before starting work.
• Work location is in person.
