Overview

We are seeking a Steel Fabricator to join our shop team. Experience with fabrication, welding, and working with various tools and machinery is strongly preferred, but not required. This role involves interpreting fabrication drawings, performing precise measurements, and assembling steel components.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to determine fabrication specifications.
• Perform MIG welding.
• Use hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment to cut, shape, and assemble metal parts.
• Perform rigging and crane operations safely for lifting and positioning heavy steel parts.
• Fabricate structural steel according to codes & standards.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and OSHA standards.
• Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards.

Requirements

• Experience in steel fabrication or manufacturing environments.
• Proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, and plasma cutting.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
• Skilled in using hand tools and power tools.
• Familiarity with rigging operations and crane safety procedures.
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
• Experience working with structural steel is preferred.
• Ability to operate forklifts or other material handling equipment is a plus.
