Hand Precision Machining, Inc. is a company specializing in precision prototype machining and short run productions since 1993. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Welder/Fabricator/Machinist Assistant to join our team in Los Alamos, New Mexico, to produce high-quality components through fabrication and welding processes.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate and weld components according to specifications and blueprints.
- Ensure compliance with industry codes and standards during all fabrication processes.
- Fabricate parts using press break, roller, saws, and shears.
- Read and interpret schematics to understand project requirements.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently.
- Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition to ensure safety and quality.
- Participate in quality control inspections to verify the integrity of finished products.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a fabricator/welder with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- In-depth knowledge of welding techniques including MIG, TIG, and SMAW welding.
- Familiarity with industry codes and standards relevant to fabrication work.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Preference to welder with machine shop experience.
- Has completed or able to complete process to become certified in specific types of welding.
