Overview

Central Heating and Air Conditioning of Kinston, Inc. is a well-established mechanical contracting company serving Eastern North Carolina, specializing in commercial and industrial HVAC and mechanical systems. We are looking for a skilled and reliable Welder to join our team on large-scale mechanical projects, contributing directly to the quality and integrity of each job.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding work on commercial and industrial mechanical systems and components
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications as required
• Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet project quality standards
• Coordinate with project foremen, pipefitters, and other tradespeople on job sites
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area
• Transport materials and equipment to and from job sites as needed
• Identify and report any issues or deficiencies to the supervisor

Requirements

• Proven experience as a welder in a commercial, industrial, or mechanical contracting setting
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
• Familiarity with applicable welding codes and safety standards
• Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work in varied conditions (indoors, outdoors, at heights)
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Strong work ethic, punctuality, and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Welding certification(s) from AWS or comparable certifying body
• Prior experience on large-scale commercial or industrial mechanical projects
• Familiarity with HVAC or mechanical systems
