Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Welder/Fabricator to join our dynamic manufacturing and construction team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee welding and fabrication projects, ensuring precision, safety, and adherence to industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise welding and fabrication activities across multiple projects.
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Perform advanced welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, and SMAW.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, and metal brake machines.
- Operate rigging equipment like cranes and forklifts safely.
- Ensure all work complies with ASME codes & standards and company-specific safety protocols.
- Collaborate with the project manager and team members to meet deadlines.
Requirements
- Proven construction site experience with a strong background in welding and fabrication.
- Extensive hands-on experience with MIG, TIG, FCAW welding techniques.
- Skilled in reading blueprints, schematics, and mechanical drawings.
- Proficient in operating hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, and rigging gear.
- Knowledge of AWS codes & standards related to welding and fabrication practices.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in pipe threading.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements and fabrication tolerances.
