Overview

The General Laborer/Assembly position involves assembling pieces of metal together, reviewing blueprints, cutting metal into appropriate shapes, and assembling according to specifications.

Responsibilities

• Reading and understanding blueprints prior to starting a project and during the build process.
• Measuring and cutting material to specification.
• Welding materials using the correct materials to join the metals together.
• Checking finished work to ensure it meets the tolerances marked on the blueprints.

Requirements

• Ability to read blueprints.
• Knowledge of various welding techniques, including tig, mig, and arc.
• Knowledge of manual and mechanical welding techniques.
• Welding experience of 1 year (preferred).
