Overview

The Shop Welder position involves welding custom branding irons and other metal structures while ensuring a clean work environment and maintaining customer relationships. The role requires teamwork to complete projects on time and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Meet and greet customers
• Perform welding tasks using various techniques and equipment
• Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings to determine welding requirements
• Fabricate and assemble metal structures, components, and ductwork according to specifications
• Use plasma cutting and pipe threading machines to prepare materials
• Ensure the safety of yourself and other welders by complying with welding codes and standards
• Conduct inspections and honest evaluations of completed welds to ensure quality and accuracy
• Collaborate with team to complete projects on time
• Perform heavy lifting and forklift operations as needed

Requirements

• 1 year of welding experience required
• Strong understanding of welding techniques
• Familiarity with welding codes and safety standards
• Ability to operate appropriate machinery
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with precision
• Ability to interpret complex instructions and follow technical specifications
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot welding issues
• Ability to relocate to Billings, MT 59101 before starting work
