Overview

The Welder position involves reading blueprints and drawings, taking measurements, and operating machinery to ensure proper fitment of metal parts. The role requires MIG and TIG welding under supervision and staging jobs for more experienced welders.

Responsibilities

• Reads blueprints and drawings.
• Takes and reads measurements.
• Operates machinery such as grinders and band saws.
• Loads metal parts and tubing into fixtures.
• Aligns parts using calipers, rulers, and clamps.
• Ensures proper fitment of parts.
• Tack welds parts together.
• MIG and TIG welds parts under supervision.
• Stages jobs for Welder II’s and III’s.

Requirements

• 1 – 2 years of MIG and TIG welding experience.
• Experience using saws, welder machines, and tools.
• Knowledge of PPE including face shields, welder helmets, gloves, and steel toes.
• Must be able to read and speak English fluently.
• Must possess a helpful, friendly, and positive attitude.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience welding stainless steel is a plus.
• Welding Certification Program (AWS) is a plus.
