Responsibilities

• Perform HDPE welding using approved methods including butt fusion, electrofusion, socket fusion, or extrusion welding.
• Set up, operate, and adjust fusion welding machines for high-quality welds.
• Inspect and maintain welding equipment before and after use.
• Verify pipe placement, measurements, and joint alignment for irrigation layouts.
• Collaborate with irrigation designers, pipe layers, and equipment operators.
• Maintain strict adherence to safety procedures and use of PPE.
• Document welding activities including weld logs and environmental conditions.
• Ensure all welds meet industry standards for structural integrity and durability.

Requirements

• Experience in HDPE pipe welding or similar thermoplastic welding applications.
• Familiarity with butt fusion, electrofusion, or extrusion welding equipment and procedures.
• Ability to read plans, grades, and irrigation system layouts.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality welds.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions typical of construction environments.

Additional Information

• Must be able to travel for extended periods of time across the United States.
• All team members must have reliable transportation to get to job sites.
• Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 100 pounds.
• Regular walking, bending, kneeling, lifting, stretching, and standing.
• Overtime with Saturday work required.
