Overview
The Welder position involves manufacturing quality irrigation and culvert products from fabricated metal components through acceptable welding processes. The role requires proficiency in welding, the ability to work with limited supervision, and adherence to safety guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Manufacture quality irrigation and culvert products from fabricated metal components.
- Perform acceptable welding processes to meet inspection standards.
- Use hand and power tools correctly.
- Operate a forklift and secure a forklift license if required.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical bulletins, and product specifications.
- Set up production jobs with appropriate fixturing and tools.
- Use specialized measuring tools and equipment.
- Communicate effectively with other departments and management.
- Work with limited supervision and demonstrate initiative and good judgment.
- Handle the physical requirements of the position.
- Weld galvanized steel, aluminum, and other materials as required.
