The Fabrication Craftsman is involved in automation and mechanization projects, integrating cutting-edge equipment into nursery operations and designing or rebuilding equipment to meet nursery needs.

Responsibilities

• Involved in automation and mechanization projects integrating cutting-edge equipment.
• Develop and lead innovative process improvements.
• Provide metal fabrication and design.
• Promote strong relationships with vendors and industry groups.
• Ensure a safe working environment in all operations.
• Lead the implementation of MNQ Lean Six Sigma.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Open to feedback.
• Punctual and highly organized.
• Flexibility to work in a team environment.
• Ability to work in moderate noise levels and inclement weather.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams preferred.
• Can lift up to 30 pounds repeatedly or 50+ pounds on occasion.
• Full range of mobility in upper and lower body.
• Welding certification preferred.
• Machining experience preferred.
• CNC programming experience preferred.
• PLC programming/wiring experience preferred.

Additional Information

• Employment is full-time Year-Round.
• Shift: Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm, subject to change based on business needs.
