The Tooling and Metal Fabricator II position involves fabrication, installation, and maintenance of mechanical equipment, contributing to the sustainability of water resources.

Responsibilities

• Continuously maintains safety and professional standards.
• Promotes a positive safety culture and ensures safety policies are followed.
• Fabricates and assembles equipment using various techniques.
• Reads and interprets blueprints and drawings.
• Plans setup and operates machine shop tools.
• Determines needs and orders materials for fabrication.
• Repairs equipment using welding techniques.
• Helps fabricate hydraulic and pneumatic circuits.
• Troubleshoots mechanical and operational problems.
• Plans setup and operates machine shop tools.
• Performs repair, rebuilding, or overhaul work from blueprints.
• Works as a member of mechanical/construction teams.
• Communicates with engineers and product designers.
• Assists in writing Standard Operating Procedures.
• Cleans manufacturing equipment as needed.
• Maintains regular attendance during manufacturing business hours.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least two years of welding experience.
• One year of experience reading blueprints.
• Basic understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams.
• Knowledge to operate machinery and testing equipment.
• Ability to make high quality welds using electric and gas systems.
• Ability to use cutting torch and measuring devices.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
• Must have a satisfactory driving record and valid driver's license.

Additional Information

• Work may include occasional early and/or later shifts.
• Occasional overtime may be required.
• Regular job duties require lifting up to 50 lbs frequently.
