Overview

Midwest Hose is one of the largest hose and fitting wholesale distributors in North America, seeking a Welder to perform general welding and fabrication duties. The position requires flexibility for weekend and after-hours work, with a commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform day to day general welding and fabrication duties.
• Read blueprints and sketches to execute jobs and tasks to specification.
• Use electricity and torches to solder together components made from various metals.
• Select and use proper tools and equipment for each task.
• Monitor equipment for appropriate usage and temperature.
• Assess equipment, structures, materials, and job specifications for appropriate welding positions.
• Engage in project management and fabrication.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Maintain professionalism in the workplace.

Requirements

• Mathematically and mechanically inclined.
• Previous welding and fabrication experience.
• Ability to stand, walk, stoop, bend, and lift 100% daily.
• Assist in lifting, pushing, and/or pulling up to 50 lbs.
• Meet physical demands typical in a warehouse environment.
• Commitment to work additional hours as needed.
• High School diploma or GED (Required).
• Additional power equipment experience (Preferred but not Required).
