Overview
GY6 is a Small Business Administration-certified, Native Hawaiian Organization-Owned, 8(a) Small Business that provides services and solutions in various areas including Environmental Services and Professional and Technical Services to the Department of Defense and other Federal agencies. GY6 is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Kina'ole Foundation, a non-profit established to benefit Native Hawaiian communities.
Responsibilities
- Take directions from job Foreman, weld and fabricate as required.
- Assist in pipefitting and fabrication functions within the Petrochemical industry.
- Work closely with Pipe Welders, crew, and management team to meet completion schedules.
- Assist with daily shop activities as required.
Requirements
- 1 year general pipefitting experience, 5 years tank experience preferred.
- Ability to operate equipment preferred.
- Must be able to pass a structural and pipe weld test.
- Must have the ability to read and interpret drawings and prints associated with fuel systems and pipe fabrication.
- Experience using Personal Protective Equipment.
- Knowledge of pipe take-offs and lay-out required.
- Experience supporting welding requirements under API 1104, ASME B31.3 and ASME Section IX preferred.
- Ability to work well with others, self-motivated and follows instructions.
- Ability to learn and understand safety procedures and practices.

Additional Information
- Must be able to travel for extended periods of time and access military and secured industrial sites.
- May be required to work internationally for short-term and potential long-term assignments.
- Must successfully pass pre-employment drug/background screens and GY6 physical examination.
- May be required to maintain a valid U.S passport for travel.
