Overview
HARD Manufacturing Company, located in Buffalo, NY, is the leading manufacturer of quality hospital cribs and youth beds both domestically and internationally. The welder works with carbon steel and stainless-steel material to weld components, sub-assemblies or structural shapes, as specified by manufacturing work orders, blueprints, drawings, and work instructions based on quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Weld components, sub-assemblies or structural shapes as specified by work orders and blueprints.
- Use various fixtures and hand tools to support welding operations.
- Demonstrate skill in the use of mechanical, hand tools and welding equipment.
- Utilize TIG, MIG and brazing techniques to create quality welds.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a welder in a manufacturing environment with thinner gauge sheet steel, bar and tubing.
- Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures (TIG, MIG, and Brazing).
- Experience in using electrical or manual tools and performing welding inspections.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
- Deftness and attention to detail.
- Ability to understand and carry out detailed written and verbal instructions.
- Must maintain company’s quality standard work at a reasonable pace.
- Must successfully complete a welding skills/proficiency test.
- Minimum High School Diploma/GED.
- At least 5 years of experience in a welding/manufacturing environment or relevant training.
