Overview
Advantech Industries, Inc. is a family-owned manufacturing company based in Rochester, New York, specializing in CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, welding, and assembly services. The company serves multiple industries, including defense, medical, and aerospace, and operates out of a 250,000-square-foot facility.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate as a high-level Welder/Fabricator to fabricate Ferrous and Non-Ferrous components.
- Read and interpret engineering blueprints to ensure accuracy of welds.
- Perform MIG, TIG, robotic, and spot welding to join components.
- Set up and operate one or more work centers to support production requirements.
- Grind and finish welded parts to meet quality standards.
- Pull parts in and out of work areas as needed to maintain workflow.
Requirements
- Ability to TIG/MIG weld steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
- Proficiency with metal fabrication tools common within the Welding industry.
- Ability to lift and manipulate large metal objects.
- Familiarity with conducting in-process inspections using measuring devices such as Calipers and Height Gages.
- Alignment with the requirements and principles of the Advantech Quality Management System and ISO 9001:2015.
- Skills to operate assigned equipment safely and efficiently.
- Capacity to handle changes in business operations and adjust to new situations.
- Preparedness to sit or stand for an extended period, lift or move heavy items, and operate welding equipment.
- Ability to work with limited supervision.
- A HS Diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of 5 years of welding/fabrication experience.
- AWS certification a plus.
