Responsibilities

• Perform welding, burning, drilling, shearing, sawing, bending plasma cutting and grinding of steel to fabricate weld hardware for concrete pieces.
• Fabricate other erection hardware and assemblies from bill of material and blueprints.
• May be assigned to any operation and area to weld rails and strip beds.
• Maintain inventory of supplies required for area.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs to all weld shop equipment and designated plant machinery.
• Properly tag all weldments, galvanizing, epoxy coating with correct product numbers.
• Maintain an attitude of safety awareness and follow established safety procedures.
• Meet and support daily, weekly and monthly 6S goals and objectives.
• Handle all material as directed by the Leadperson, including operating an overhead crane or tow motor.
• Start/stop labor codes as required for production labor.
• Clean and return all tools and equipment to storage area daily.
• Maintain quality focus for all tasks and look to improve product for both internal and external customers.

Requirements

• High School Graduate or GED.
• MIG certified.
• One (1) year previous welding experience preferred or completed Welding CTC Program.
• Ability to read blueprints and use a tape measure.

Additional Information

• This is a 1st shift position starting at 7:00AM.
• Hourly starting rate of $21.50/hour which can increase based on previous welding experience.
• Location: Springboro, Ohio.
