Overview

As part of the continued growth of current and future projects, Meldrum Mechanical Services is a 24/7 service company that requires an experienced Welder/Millwright to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Proficiently follow safety protocols including wearing heat resistant gloves, flame resistant clothing, protective masks, and safety footwear.
• Utilize strong mechanical knowledge and precision measuring instruments.
• Perform stick welding as needed.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify potential problems.
• Operate manual and semi-automatic welding equipment using various welding processes.
• Perform grinding, chipping, and other metal preparation tasks prior to welding.
• Inspect welds to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Complete field work as required.

Requirements

• 3 years of welding experience required.
• 3 years of mechanical knowledge required.
• Knowledge of various welding techniques including TIG and MIG.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Welding certification required.
• Professional certifications and successful completion of apprenticeship are a plus.
