Overview

This position is for an experienced Welder and Layout/Fitter personnel at Munroe Inc., Struthers OH facility. Due to a large influx of work, Munroe is looking to immediately fill Welder and Layout/Fitter positions on second shift, with pay based on specific skill levels.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a good attendance record, per the employee handbook.
• Maintain a safe work environment for yourself and co-workers as outlined by the company’s policies.
• Operate equipment using processes such as gas metal arc, flux-cored arc, shielded metal arc, and TIG welding within the parameters outlined in the weld procedures.
• Analyze engineering blueprints and specifications to plan, layout, position, and secure parts and assemblies by tacking and/or welding.
• Heat, form, and dress metal parts in the fabrication process.
• Properly and safely use tools of the trade, including PPE, grinders, tape measures, torches, plasma cutting torches, powered saws, calipers, and other precision measuring equipment.
• Knowledge and safe use of overhead cranes, jibs hoist, and forklifts.

Requirements

• Candidate should have a basic welding aptitude and knowledge.
• A technical degree or related work experience with ASME code and pressure welding is preferred.
• Must possess basic blue print reading skills and weld procedure interpretation.
• Pre-employment drug screen, background check, and physical is mandatory.
• Must be able to wear, use, and facilitate all required PPE.
