Overview

Tessiers Mechanical Contractors, a premier mechanical contractor in Mitchell, is seeking qualified candidates for an Entry Level Shop/Welder/CDL Driver position. This role offers an opportunity to learn the sheet metal trade while earning a competitive wage.

Responsibilities

• Assist journeymen in fabrication, assembly, welding, and installation of sheet metal products and structures.
• Perform mechanical troubleshooting.
• Load materials and equipment.
• Drive trucks with a CDL Class A or B.
• Conduct general shop work and maintenance.
• Use hand tools and machinery, such as forklifts.
• Engage in light travel outside of the shop as required.

Requirements

• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Ability to pass a pre-work physical assessment and drug screen.
• Basic computer skills.
• Math aptitude.
• Willingness to learn and grow in the sheet metal trade.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, bend, stand, and use hand tools and shop machinery.

Additional Information

• Full-time position with a typical 4-day work week, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. M-TH.
