Overview
GSM Industrial, a regional leader in industrial fabrication, installation, and mechanical contracting since 1983, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Welder to join their team on 2nd shift. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in various welding techniques and be proficient in welding.
Responsibilities
- Ability to weld in 1G, 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G.
- Proven experience in full penetration welding, back purge welding, and producing welds that pass RT, UT, and hydrostatic tests.
- Experience working with polished stainless steel under stringent quality standards.
- Strong ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, perform precise fit-up, and execute complex assemblies with minimal supervision.
- Hands-on experience with rigging and complex crane operations to handle large and intricate welding projects safely and efficiently.
- Commitment to following industry safety standards, quality control protocols, and best practices for welding and fabrication.
Requirements
- Skilled in FCAW, GMAW, and GTAW welding processes with extensive experience working on carbon steel and stainless steel.
- Prior experience in an industrial, structural, or pressure vessel welding environment.
- Certification(s) in relevant welding disciplines (AWS, ASME, etc.) is highly desirable.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
