Overview
We are seeking a skilled and self-motivated Welder/Fabricator/plant maintenance hand to join our team, working at our shop and on local job sites at industrial plants and other facilities. This role offers a variety of projects and jobs, providing opportunities for growth and knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Perform MIG, TIG, FCAW welding techniques to fabricate and repair metal components.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
- Use hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, and fabrication equipment.
- Conduct routine maintenance on machinery at local plants and factories.
- Operate rigging gear and forklifts safely for material handling and installation.
- Measure materials precisely using calipers, micrometers, and basic math skills.
- Assist with mechanical repairs, pipe threading, soldering, and assembly tasks.
- Follow safety protocols adhering to ASME codes & standards.
Requirements
- Proven construction site experience with a strong understanding of safety practices.
- Proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW, and plasma cutting.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and press brake machines.
- Knowledge of rigging procedures and forklift operation certification preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude with experience in fabrication, assembly, and ductwork installation.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform quality work.
- Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.
- Valid driver's license.
- Drug-free.
- 3-5 years of on-the-job experience minimum.
- Reliable transportation to work.
