Overview

AKS is expanding and looking for a shop foreman who can manage and maximize employee productivity while also working on welding projects. This position offers a variety of tasks and requires a willingness to learn new skills.

Responsibilities

• Work in machine shop
• Coordinate and organize work
• Lead and drive improvements
• Maintain safe environment
• Manage inventory

Requirements

• Experience as foreman, crew leader or supervisor
• Self-motivated and goal driven
• Strong work ethic and outstanding attendance
• Positive attitude
• Assertive and direct
• Able to work well independently and in teams
• Able to lift up to 70 pounds
• Able to work standing for extended periods of time
• Able to perform repetitive movements for extended periods
• Extreme attention to detail and accuracy
• Proficient using & creating documents using Microsoft Excel
• Welding experience - Metal shop – Light fabrication is a plus
• Experience with CNC machine is a plus
• Experience with Lean Management is a plus
• Experience in Aerospace manufacturing is a plus
• Honorably discharged veterans encouraged to apply

Additional Information

• Full time – Day Shift. Minimum 40 hours a week.
• Work Location: In person
• Overtime is paid at 1.5 times regular pay after 40 hours in workweek.
